À propos de ce contenu audio

"Simon’s Magical Melody" is a resource manual - disguised as a children’s book - addressing the challenging transition period many veterans and their families face during and after wartime duty.

Military children are not immune to the delayed stress which can result from their parent’s deployment. Even children who arrive later in a warrior’s life can become negatively impacted by it.

When a soldier goes to war…the whole family goes to war; it is never a sacrifice military personnel make alone. Often subtle, if not radical adjustments must be made by all members of a family unit (from the youngest to the oldest) in an attempt to restore its dynamics to a healthy equilibrium.

"Simon’s Magical Melody" serves as an official starting point, clarifying the transitional journey and what can be expected by children and families living with the burdens of war. Although people of all ages and backgrounds can benefit from listening to this resource, its targeted audience is military personnel and their families. Roby designed it (with school children in mind) using a simple fairy-tale format which tackles the relevant issues of wartime Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and its effects on veterans' families and military children.
