Unfortunately I couldn't connect with Sem and Magnus. The way their relationship started made me uncomfortable. I know Sem is a good person but he had anger issues because of what he went through as a kid. He needed therapy. He even admitted it himself. I get it that this is fictional and maybe I'm not supposed to take it too seriously but I just wasn't able to relate with the main characters. I could see they loved each other but I didn't feel it. The narrators were fantastic and I loved their performance. I've enjoyed all the other books I read by the author. This one just wasn't for me.
