Description
When Terrance Campbell, a divorce lawyer in Chicago, dies at 53 of a heart attack, the last thing he expects is to wake up in the body of his ex-girlfriend Edee Prescott, 20 years in the past. Not only should this be impossible, but Edee died in a car crash all those years ago — except now everyone is saying that Terrance is the one who died, and Terrance is Edee!
Terrance now finds himself thrust into the bizarrely familiar life of his former sweetheart, working as an elementary teacher and sharing a house with Edee’s pal, Lana. Even stranger is interacting with Edee’s best friend, Michael Cox, the one man he was always jealous of when he was with Edee. But his interactions with Michael are totally different now, and as he increasingly starts to see what she saw in her friend.
As confusing and alarming emotions blossom, Terrance searches desperately to uncover the truth about what happened to him. But as he gets better and better at adjusting to his new life as Edee, he’s not even sure what he wants anymore: Can he really go back to being Terrance even if he does find a way to do it?
