Description
Stacey Evans wants only one thing: to be the best alpine ski racer she can be. Everything else—like her sweet and ultra-supportive best friend and hot-but-vapid girlfriend—is just a bonus. Fresh from a medal at her first Olympics, Stacey knows she can only get better and is firmly focused on the future, and totally not thinking about how she’s kind of a little in love with that sweet, ultra-supportive best friend....
Gemma Archer has had a crush on Stacey from the moment she first saw her, but being her best friend is so amazing that she’s almost managed to push that crush aside. Almost. But even if Gemma finds the courage to tell Stacey how she really feels, there’s a mountain of obstacles to overcome—like the fact Gemma’s stepmom is Stacey’s coach (awkward) and Gemma will be going away to college in a few months. And most importantly...what if admitting how she feels ruins the best friendship she’s ever had?
Schuss brings back two beloved side characters from E. J. Noyes’ best-selling, award-winning novel Gold.

Good story
Not as good as Gold but few books are. still worth a “read”. E.J.Noyes hasn’t written a bad book yet and this won’t disappoint.

Very Disappointing
I was very disappointed with this book. It was most certainly suited for the YA reading audience who, by the way, probably wouldn’t even purchase it unless they had already read GOLD. The author should have possibly waited a few more years until Stacey and Gemma were older and the story could have been written for the more mature readers who had previously loved Gold.
The story moved slowly and became boring with so much inner dialogue as they both constantly expressed worry about ruining their relationship if they became more than friends.
Even the scene when they finally had intimacy was a little unreal, as they both decided yes we want to do this rather than making out and getting so aroused, etc.

Just Ok
Oh the waiting and waiting and waiting.
I was pretty bored with first half of story.
The MC (seemed very juvenile). The last half when Stacy and Gem finally admit their love is still pretty boring.
I wouldn’t recommend.

Hit it out of the park
Just the right blend of angst and fun, with lots of skiing. Great listen. Thanks!!

Another hit
Once again, EJ Noyes has delivered a winner. This one, in the YA field, displays the author's wonderful way of being her protags in the best way possible. They sounded their age. They acted their age. The storyline and conflicts were in line with the characters. She has always excelled at storytelling and characterization but now you can add YA to her repertoire.
And Abby Craden? What else can I say? She delivers exactly the level of excellence one would expect.
Buy this.

E.J. Noyes does it again
If you loved Gold you will not be disappointed with Schuss. It reunites you with Stacy and Gemma, of course Aspen and Cate are along for the fun. Great low angst HEA.

Sweet Slice of Life
It was very slice of life, and very sweet. There was a lot of emotion with out angst overkill and you get see two characters grow as people, which is satisfying. Abby Crayden did great as always.

Nice read
It’s a good read for a passing time kind of book. However this is definitely not the best of E. J. Noyes usual books. I love Abby Craden, but not sure why she swapped Aspen and Cate’s voices from the first book, maybe not to clash with Stacy’s voice since there were conversations with Aspen, but not sure it was necessary. It’s still a nice read!

fell in love with Gold over this past year so getting to hear and feel the younger characters of Gold was a joy! EJNoyes has such a great writing style and rhythm to her books and Abby Craden just brings them to life. looking forward to thier next creation.
