Description
Can’t fight the dead? Then run....
The dead are rising and violently attacking people on the streets of the UK. Driven by an insatiable hunger for flesh, they attack anyone who dares to go out.
Anna is trapped as the zombie apocalypse rages outside her front door. Desperate and alone, she must find a way to get to her children who are with her ex-partner. As Anna runs from the dead, she finds help from Rob and his 15-year-old brother, Jack, despite Rob’s better instincts. Together, they run the nightmare gauntlet that used to be their neighbourhood.
Run from the Dead is the first book in a zombie apocalypse series, following ordinary people trying to stay alive no matter what the cost. Battling the dead and humans alike, the people left must become somebody new. Someone prepared to do whatever it takes to live.
Anna must learn to survive this cruel new world, where the living can be just as terrifying as the dead.

Mom kicking zombie butt
Mom fighting zombies to get to her kids. Runs into two brother, Now they are a team. I like all the characters. One of the brothers was in the service and knows how to fight. Great narrator! There is some romance. For you guys that just want blood and guts this maybe a little tame for you. I actually like Romantic zombie books. On to book 2.

No, no and NO!
1) This book should come with a noise warning! If I had been driving, that “horn blow” in Ch 2 would’ve scared the dickens out of me! On the Sam note, the “noise” (read sound effects) were ABSOLUTELY unnecessary!! Fake sounding, and ridiculous.
2) The narrator did not do this book justice! She didn’t add enough emotion/inflection to her voice to bring the characters to life.
3) The relationship between Rob and Anna felt forced and Juvenile. I mean it’s ONLY been 2 days! You’re worried about your kids, but acting like a teen in puppy love!

race for a child and then safety vs zombies
solid little tale of a mother racing to her child as zombie outbreak erupts in England. then with new found mates, racing again to what they hope is safety. Moral: miles on the road now save you from being road kill

Dumb mother simulator
this entire book consist of a stupid mother reapeating the same 4 words and getting everybody around her almost killed. She almost gets raped 2 times and then insists on stopping for a van, that runs over her friends. don't worry, " its for my children,"

if you cant fight, just run
The kind of story in this book is one of my favourites, with people with their heart in the right place, Anna just wants to protect her children, that when the book starts she is just taking to their father place since they are divorced, and it’s his week with the kids, and when TSHTF she just must go to them <3, our other main character Rob, he wants to protect his teen brother, Jack, and you know what, if you like Baileigh Higgins (apocalypse Z) and Maira dawn (Sanctuary aggression), you’ll definitely like this story, you have a strong woman as main character, she is saved a couple of times, but she is strong enough to do what she needs to do, there’s a bit of romance, but not too much that will distract you, there’s difficult choices, people being people and without spoilers, sometimes I really hate humans…
I was kindly provided with a free audible for the first volume by the author, there were sometimes that I was taken by surprise by sounds added to make the story come more alive XD ahhaha I actually screamed because of the sound of a car horn hahahha yeah sometimes I am quite weak but I like this kind of books and story, so its on me. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

A Zombie Horror Story
This was my first experience with Joanne Nundy's work and it was entertaining. It was a zombie horror story that was filled with spine-tingling moments and relentless action. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series. Natalie Boyland's narration was great and kept my attention. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.

Dashing good fun!
“Run from the Dead” was a blasting romp of post-apocalyptic zombie action mixed in with a splash of romance and a dash of parental heroism. A great start to a well-written, fast-paced survival series!

She thought of her kids...
How many times can you put the same phrase into a book? I think "she thought of her kids" is said more times than Zombies in a ZOMBIE book. Come on. I get it, really. it would be on any parents mind, but you don't have to put it in every paragraph.
