Since the 2006 publication of her New York Times best seller, Tough Choices, former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina has faced a new round of challenges. She ran for the Senate as a Republican in deep-blue California but was unable to unseat the entrenched incumbent. She battled breast cancer, wondering if she'd even survive. Worst of all, she suffered the devastating loss of a beloved daughter. Yet despite these setbacks and tragedies, she remains undaunted: "I've come to see lessons and blessings in these passages. I know now that life is not measured in time. Life is measured in love and positive contributions and moments of grace."
Now, Fiorina shares the lessons she's learned from both her difficulties and triumphs. Drawing on her experience as a pioneering business and nonprofit leader, a politically active citizen, and a parent, she diagnoses the largest problem facing our country today: untapped potential. Too often American men and women are held back by systems that prevent them from working and flourishing. Too many people lose hope for themselves. Too many lack the opportunity to use their gifts and live lives of meaning, dignity, and purpose.
In 2014 Fiorina launched the Unlocking Potential Project, a new grassroots organization, to share a message with those who worry about America's future: We have all the resources we need to prosper, but we don't tap in to them. By ignoring conservative principles - or failing to articulate those principles in ways that connect with regular people - politicians have failed their constituents, abandoning them to the crushing burden of our bloated government.

A must share book!
Carly Fiorina's story is encouraging. She expresses her story through strong values and a strong foundation. She has tremendous skill in observation, reflection and vision for our future as a people and a country.
Kimberly Farr's voice was steadfast, but not dull or tiring. Between what Mrs. Fiorina's wrote and Ms. Farr's voice I was captivated and only stopped listening due to other commitments.
I am going to share this book with my daughter and sons. I believe that her words will inspire them to continue on their journey to work for a positive tomorrow for themselves, their children and their community. I am proud of my adult children and believe in their potential!!!
Maybe she will consider another run for the White House in 2020!😊

Another inspiring book by Carly Fiorina
I’m traveling back in time. I read Find Your Way first and couldn’t wait to read her previous books. This one did not disappoint. Her personal story is one of strength and resolve. Her political party is the People. Mrs. Fiorina’s heart and words reflect, what I would suspect to be, the majority of Americans if they put the title of political parties. When putting others first is your goal, you can’t be self-serving. Thank you for this eye-opening book.

Great Bio about an Amazing Woman
If you could sum up Rising to the Challenge in three words, what would they be?
Courage, Vision, Stamina
What did you like best about this story?
Her openness about her personal struggle through the HP debacle, death of her daughter, and her commitment to labor both for her principles and family even while undergoing chemo. The woman is a true inspiration. If more people embodied the character Mrs. Fiorina has exhibited through hardship, the world would be a better place.
Any additional comments?
Well-written, easy to follow. I 'read' it in my car on audio. Clearly enunciated, pleasant voice, easy to listen to.

Touching & Inspiring
Carly Fiorina's story is touching and inspiring. She is a strong, independent woman who has proven herself capable of compassion, leadership, loyalty & resilience. An excellent read if you want to know more about her and the way she thinks.

President Fiorina?
she has a good plan on controlling spending in Washington. I like hearing her speak about foreign policy and abortion. I wish these topics were a bigger part of her book

I had liked her before, but after listening to her ideas I am REALLY impressed.
