Description
From USA Today and Amazon Charts best-selling author Meghan Quinn comes a new fake dating, standalone sports romance featuring the hockey men you can’t get enough of and love. This steamy, age-gap romantic comedy will bring all the laughs while making your cheeks blush at the same time.
Running into your ex is never ideal.
Running into your ex who is now dating your nemesis is a literal nightmare.
That’s how I found myself in a sheer panic, reaching for the closest guy at the bar and kissing him. And to my delight he was easily the most attractive man I’ve ever seen.
The only problem is, when I tried to walk away after thanking him for his help, he stopped me with three life-changing words....
“You owe me.”
That’s how I found myself, a college girl, in a fake relationship with a professional hockey player ten years older than me.
At first it was easy.
He helped me with my internship.
I helped keep his ex away from him.
We were becoming fast friends.
It wasn’t until he started staying the night at my dorm did the rules of our arrangement become complicated.
Now my feelings are involved and even though I kissed the right man at the right time, I’m worried he’s just waiting for the clock to run out.

ugh, this was hard to finish
This author is an automatic download for me, I have read everything from her and loved them all. but I found Ollie so annoying and rude and insensitive. I usually devour her books in one sitting. this one I could only handle in small bits at a time as Ollie annoyed me and I couldn't understand why Silas would stand being treated this was after his last insensitive girlfriend. I think she was supposed to be cute a fresh and young at heart but came across so childish, emotionally immature, and with zero empathy.

Wrong book
Never like being a debbie downer but this was made me bummed. Rarely do I wish I could have my credit back or DNF a book - and I REALLY tried to tough it out, but in the end just wasn't worth more time. Surprising since I could, and do, listen to Jason any time. The story was too long, too drawn out, too ... annoying. Not sure why Silas put up w Ollie for as long as he did - she was a lot younger 21 to his 31, but the immaturity and game playing grated on me. Also hard to believe 31 yr old guys spill details on their sex lives w someone they supposedly really care for. Ick. Cheapened it somehow. Anyhoo - to each their own - this one just not my cup o tea.

Yes, Please!
Right Man, Right Time, “Yes please!” Quinn masterfully brought together a hunky, broken hero that you can’t help but swoon over, and a loveable lady that I wish I could be friends with in real life.
This book had me completely captivated and I just couldn’t get enough! Clarke gave an outstanding performance as Silas – I would listen to him read the phone book and I hope he keeps reading as our heros.
While I don’t like to be negative, I have to say that I wasn’t a fan of narration done by Hunter. I’ve listened to several of her books now and each time I hear her she sounds breathy and it makes me cringe. I’m no expert, but I think it could be read a little bit less dramatic for a smoother flow? But hey, I couldn’t do it so kudos!
Having read almost all of Quinn’s books I sometimes worry that I will get tired of her writing. But this book proves that it’s ALWAYS the Right Time for a Meghan Quinn story.
As Always, Happy Reading!

Great story, disappointing ending
If you are looking for a read that has plenty of witty banter and laugh out loud moments then give this title a listen.
The chemistry between the 2 characters is amazing. Ollie being outgoing and perky vs. Silas who is a gruff, hard on the outside hockey player makes for some interesting banter and one liners.
However for me, the "there it is" moment is just over played. Just once I wish authors would break from the mold. Most stories follow the same recipe, They meet, tease each other, fall in love (or lust) then the big fight or the "there it is" moment. It seems most of the time, just a simple misunderstanding.
The ending to this project could have been so much better if a little trust was written in and instead of the cookie cutter stamp, the main characters banded together to go after the miscreant.
BTW, if you are looking for spice, plenty here, just go ahead and grab a fan and a bottle of water...,

Good but…
I must say I prefer Ms. Quinn’s more mature romances. The FMC is only 21 so many of her thoughts and actions made sense for her age. The MMC however is a huge baby. I’m over characters that, in 2023, don’t work harder to have better mental health. Especially ones with supposedly good friends. Silas treated his friends like absolute crap, especially when they were trying to help him. Boo.
The were several LOL moments for me and I absolutely LOVE duet narration at the end though the FMC got sooo whiny constantly on the verge of tears, but this is the same smart and witty woman who walked up to a stranger and kissed him? Ugh no.
I’m torn. If you like Quinn then this book does follow the raunchy and funny style of her other sports themed books, but if you’ve enjoyed some of her standalone titles as I have, you may be disappointed.
Ultimately, come for the laughs and stay for the duet narration.

Fake Dating + hockey romance = 10/10
This is definitely one of my top reads of 2023! Meghan Quinn does it again!
What to expect
✅ Age gap
✅ Hockey
✅ Fake dating
✅ Healing from trauma
✅ One of the best "how did you meet" stories I've ever read. Even if it's fake. 😂
✅ Spice!
✅ Cane brother cameos!
This book is one of the funniest books I've read in a long time. The first 2/3rds of this book had me snort laughing and trying to keep silent because it was 4am and my husband was asleep next to me. The FMC is fricken hilarious especially when she gets stressed because her mouth just goes off and some of the stuff that comes out is gold.
Our main character Ollie is a senior in a journalism program. For her final project she finds out shes been assigned a topic she has no experience or passion for: hockey. And she comes to find that her workplace nemesis is the reason she got the assignment AND THEN this girl has the audacity to also start dating her ex boyfriend and flaunting it in front of her at the bar. So obviously she spirals and tells them all that life is amazing and that she has a fantastic boyfriend who makes her super happy so there... But then they doubt she's being truthful so she identifies a random dude at the bar, gives him 3 seconds to say no, all while asking him to play along and kisses him. Silas found himself at the bar that night because his viper of an ex just got a job working in the marketing department for his professional hockey team. She not only broke his heart but his trust and having her back in his life is NOT what he signed up for. He's pissed, alone and depressed all until this unknown brazen woman glides up to him and kisses the shit out of him, begging him to play along for the night. Seeing an opportunity and a chance to get to know this girl more he offers up a deal where they fake date again to help each other out. He has no idea that she's ten years younger than him and she has no idea that he's some famous hockey player.
Do yourself a favor and listen to this on audio. It's a duet so the narrators switch back and forth between male and female characters constantly. It's fantastic and really suits Quinns writing style. And the voice actors were AMAZING.
This is a spicier read. If you like women who enjoy going down on their man and an equally generous partner you will love this book. It is a bit of a slow burn but when the spice hits, it 💥. Ollie is not shy so expect some dirty talk, open conversations around sex and some hilarious moments. Oh and one more thing... Jacobs ladder.

Laugh out loud funny and top tier smut
Very much enjoyed this book. Read it as a stand alone (didn't know this was #3 in a series, whoops) but it still held up on its own. The witty dialogue and hilarious nervous ramblings of the mfc had me in stitches. And the intimate scenes were very hot. Definitely recommend.

Not her best work
The story was just ok, but the plot was so predictable, I felt like I read this kind of story a few million times before.
