À propos de ce contenu audio

November 2009. Sergei Magnitsky is led to an isolation cell in a Moscow prison and beaten to death by eight police officers. His crime? To testify against the Russian Interior Ministry officials involved in a conspiracy to steal $230 million in taxes. Magnitsky’s brutal killing has remained uninvestigated to this day.

Red Notice is a searing exposé of the Russian authorities responsible for the murder, slicing deep into the heart of the Kremlin to uncover its sordid truths.

Commentaires

"Reads like a classic thriller, with an everyman hero alone and in danger in a hostile foreign city...but it’s all true, and it’s a story that needs to be told." (Lee Child)

By the end of this incredible story, I had trouble grasping its strength and breadth… the epilogue had me in tears for 15 minutes, so much so that when the story ended, I had to take 5 minutes outside to reboot. Absolutely amazing book!

Stunning

This book, on top of being perfectly narrated, is a great life story. Even if Bill Browder played with fire to make a lot of money, he did it legally. He and his team were then harassed by crooks that were supported by some of the most corrupt gouvernement in the world... It did cost the life of his colleague Sergei but this fight for integrity ultimately served a greater cause leading to the signature of the Magnitski Act. A must read!
