In many ways, it is our memories and experiences that shape our identity. But what if your memories weren’t yours? Would you still be you?

What if memories could be implanted? Knowledge and skills could become limitless. A lifetime of experience could be given in an instant.

And what if those memories were weaponized?

If memory can shape who we are, then controlling memory could shape who we become—and the suffering could be endless.

Raven Astray: The Nothing’s Echo is the fourth installment in the Raven Astray universe. Three hundred years after the fall of Oliver Walker in Conductor of Dragons, J8 and the immortal AI Heavies of The Nothing have become bounty hunters, pursuing the worst humanity still has to offer.

A series of child abductions draws them toward RiftTech, a shadowy organization experimenting with rifts, gravity, and the human mind.

Elsewhere, operatives Oz and Mae encounter a mysterious young woman they name Echo. She possesses impossible abilities, memories of people dead for centuries, and a face that should belong only to history.

She remembers Seo. Henry. Uka. Jen. The Forte.

She remembers the rift. And she remembers three hundred years trapped inside it.

But memory is no longer proof.

As the two groups converge on RiftTech and a facility known only as the Nursery, they uncover experiments that blur the boundaries between memory, identity, and reality itself. The deeper they go, the more dangerous the question becomes:

Is Echo truly Yoon Ji—or does she only remember being her?
