Went into it, expecting not to like it because of all the over the top hype from BookTok and all… damn the hype is deserved. Already halfway through the next book, could not put it down.
Some parts feel like little too much like a Hunger Games rewrite with the poor girl from the slums not having a choice to participate in a show like death cage match… but very enjoyable regardless. Kai is soooo well written though, he gets no notes from me ^^

I fell right into this story. the two voices and point of views worked magic for me and I couldnt stop listening to knowore and to see the development of the story. the last few chapters shattered my heart
