Description

Random House presents the audio edition of Outgrowing God by Richard Dawkins.

Should we believe in God? In this new book, for a new generation, the brilliant science writer and author of The God Delusion explains why we shouldn’t.

Should we believe in God? Do we need God in order to explain the existence of the universe? Do we need God in order to be good? In 12 chapters that address some of the most profound questions human beings confront, Dawkins marshals science, philosophy and comparative religion to interrogate the hypocrisies of all the religious systems and explain to listeners of all ages how life emerged without a Creator, how evolution works and how our world came into being.

For anyone hoping to grapple with the meaning of life and what to believe, Outgrowing God is a challenging, thrilling and revelatory listen.

Dawkins Does It Again.

Richard Dawkins continues to communicate the wonder of science and what it tells about how wonderful reality is. Most importantly, he shows how we are able to live in reality without crutches of religiosity or other damaging fictions. My thanks.

Leave religion behind and find fulfillment in the beauty of science

Richard Dawkins describes how science incrementally describes the world more precisely and with greater predictive power than religion. From many Gods to a single one to none. With science a good of the gaps is not needed. This book explains why.

Dawkins @ his best!

Always a pleasure to listen to Dr. Dawkins' profound knowledge on religious bogus stories and bigotry. He is my knight in shining armour against religion and its crazymaking manipulation. Hitch would have liked this book. Must read (or listen)!
