Everything changed the instant I locked eyes with her. The fiery red hair rolling in waves down her back and the freckles scattered across her cheeks stole the air from my lungs. I’d been awed by Earth’s wonders before, but she was different. And not just because she is a witch. There was something about the way she looked at me with those bright blue eyes - as if she could see right through me, deep into my very soul.
As much as I know I should walk away, that it's forbidden for angels to become entangled with humans...I can’t. The longer I stay on Earth, the more I feel for the woman, the closer I come to giving in to my temptations. Every stolen glance leaves me more dissatisfied. I want more than just her body - I want her.
First, I’ll have to save humanity, but after that, I’ll be forced to make a choice. Do I walk the path of a good angel? Or do I risk it all - including my grace - for a chance at loving her?
