Nighttime Fantasy helps to identify a universal fear of childhood monsters and the dark manifested by children that should be easy for them to identify with. This fantasy can oftentimes be experienced when a child feels abandoned in darkness. The book will help the parent and child discuss the fear of bedtime. A discussion can promote reassurances that the fantasy is only a fantasy, not a reality. As a result of the book, we can only hope that the “fantasy” will be short-lived.
