Adavi Bapiraju (1895 - 1952) is a poet, painter, sculptor, novelist, singer, editor, aesthetist, freedom fighter, and scholar extraordinaire. He was the foremost writer of the Romantic movement in Telugu. His prose and poetry took writing in Telugu to new heights. He ignited the spirit of the Andhra movement with his literature and contributed to the Indian National Movement.
