In North London, families are being slaughtered by a merciless serial killer, with only one female relative left alive each time. There are no clues, just the sinister text messages sent to each surviving victim. Ex-Detective Sergeant Terence Marsland is trying to forget his former life as a policeman and husband, when he's begged by the Family Killer's original victim to privately re-investigate the case.
Against his better judgement, Marsland becomes embroiled in a race against the official police investigation to find the killer while struggling to keep his own tortured past at bay.
