Lakota was conceived by Bobby Bridger as a "telling of a telling" of the life of the Lakota holy man, Black Elk. Black Elk shared his vision with John Neihardt, Neihardt shared it with the world, and this ballad honors that lineage through music and storytelling.
Originally a one man show as part of Bridger's epic ballad trilogy "A Ballad of the West", this Audible edition is the first time the work has been published as dramatized adaptation for audiobook. In this way, Lakota is told by native voices, complete with original music and story telling.
