Deep, Wise, Healing!
This is my favorite of the "Myths and Stories of the Wise Woman Archetype" series. Clarissa Pinkola Estes disassembles the negative cultural messages we receive about our bodies and provides a series of healing stories, images, and ideas which hold the body as sacred, unique, infinitely precious and idiosyncratic. She threads vivid and unique multicultural metaphors and tales throughout the sessions.
Her voice, pacing, and accents enrich the experience. Hers is a vibrant presence. She brings stories and ideas from many cultures and her language and accents vary by culture.
This is book I will listen to again and again. I could not fully integrate the wealth of knowledge, wisdom and healing in one "reading." Don't miss this unique experience.

Excellent
The author is so wonderful to listen to. She has made me feel much better and taught me how to embrace my body and the aging process as well as dealing with illnesses that have come along. I recommend it highly

Wonderfully inspirational
The author's voice is so soothing and comforting she makes you forget whatever ails you. This book is a must read for anyone male or female who doubts their worth. Beautifully written and presented. My only criticism would be the repetitive sections at the beginning of each chapter.

Profound, inspiring, deeply and delightfully Healing
Dr. Pinkola Estes is always great company. I and my family have such gratitude for the sharing of her unique and Jungian perspectives with compassion , passion ,humor depth, joy and wholeness.
She weaves science with personal and mythological story telling and unfolds the paths of wisdom and healing that they contain.
This book is beautiful ,inviting us to enter into a relationship with our bodies our consort , sacred other , sister , ally and friend.

Unprecedented! Delightful! Profound! Healing🧡
Dr. Estes has compiled many soul’s lifetimes of stories and wisdoms into a remarkable journey of coming home to one’s self, in a wholly un-mystical, raw, and completely unique and authentic fashion. One to hear over and over again
Clarissa Pinkola Estes has that voice that makes you want to be still, listen, take deep breaths and open your heart. There are so many books that teach you about self love but this one embodies it, teaches you in a way your body understands and absorbs it, like a bridge directly to your psyche. I guess that is the power of stories. I loved listening to this audiobook

Loved it!
Dr Estes has become my favorite author. Reading and listening to her books has healed and helped me tremendously. I wish I knew her in person. I wish I could talk to her. But for now reading her brings me joy. Thank you Dr. Estes for your wisdom, knowledge and for sharing it with us.
