Description
Forbidden romance coupled with high-stakes courtroom drama.
Two women meet in an alley and fulfill their mutual desire with a night of passion, neither expecting more than the few lusty hours they shared. Weeks later, Morgan Bradley and Parker Casey meet again, but this time one is a law professor and the other her student.
A series of events lands them in the middle of a high-profile murder trial, but the twists and turns of the case are no match for the spiral of increasing attraction as they work side-by-side in the defense of justice.

The book is better
This was one of the first books I read by Carsen Taite. It is a favorite I've read a few times. The narration was fair, but not great. I know Lori Prince has many fans, I thought her voice dragged in some places. I would have enjoyed it better with a different narrator. I don't know why, I just can't get past her voice. I know she has her fans but I think she is way overrated.

First one by Taite
This is my first book by Carsen Taite and it will not be my last.
I'm hoping there's more from Morgan and Parker.

Interesting case nice romance
This was perfectly fine. Usually when I listen to audiobooks, I tend to spend time much longer chunks of the story at once, while I go for a walk etc. but I hurt me foot and haven’t been able to do that, and it’s really thrown my audiobook listening off. I absorbed this in much smaller, a chapter here or there chunks and it threw me out of the story, a bit. It didn’t really help that so much of it was focused on the legal case. Normally I would have found that a bit more interesting but in this specific case it made it a little harder to jump in and out.
I liked both Morgan and Parker fine, though I was a bit more on Morgan’s side of things. This was my first book of this authors and I would pick up another title—especially if Lori Prince is narrating it too.

Great book
Although I guess part of it about 3 hours before the end, it was a surprise closer to the end. Well written great characters and excellent narration.

excellent suspense
I enjoyed the writing on this story more than the other two I have read. although those were great too. this story depicted great examples of real world.angst and the strength. Amazing character growth and many twists. I cracked up a few times and had to stop listening to explain to my wife why I was laughing so hard.

Not a romance but a crime story
I'm super disappointed. The beginning was so very promising but there was almost no interaction between Parker and Morgan for over half of the novel, it was all about the murder of Camille Burke. I feel deprived of what could have been a good love story because I very much enjoyed the fist part of the novel.
