The first time I met Hudson Rothschild was at a wedding. I’d received an unexpected invitation to one of the swankiest venues in the city. Hudson was a groomsman and quite possibly the most gorgeous man I’d ever laid eyes on. He asked me to dance, and our chemistry was off the charts. I knew it wasn’t a good idea to get involved with him, considering the wedding I was at. But our connection was intense, and I was having a great time. Though the fun came to a screeching halt when Hudson figured out I wasn’t who I’d said I was.

I’m good at hiding my feelings. Having to pretend I’m not in love with my best friend? Pfft. That’s child’s play. Here’s how I do it: I avert my eyes when he walks out of his room, shirtless in all his toned glory. I squash the butterflies that fill my stomach every time he slowly unfurls a dimpled smile. Not to brag, but Aiden Smith isn’t hard to resist if you’ve been doing it for as long as I have. In fact, we might have continued as best friends forever if not for the fact that I needed him to play the part of my fake boyfriend.

The feud between Weston Lockwood and me started at the altar. Only neither of us attended the wedding, and the nuptials happened decades before either of us was born. Our grandfathers had been best friends and business partners, at least up until my grandfather’s wedding day - when his bride-to-be blurted out she couldn’t marry him because she was also in love with Weston‘s grandfather.
Description
The instant New York Times best seller
One Christmas wish, two brothers, and a lifetime of hope are on the line for hapless Maelyn Jones in In a Holidaze, the quintessential holiday romantic novel by Christina Lauren, the New York Times best-selling author of The Unhoneymooners.
It’s the most wonderful time of the year...but not for Maelyn Jones. She’s living with her parents, hates her going-nowhere job, and has just made a romantic error of epic proportions.
But perhaps worst of all, this is the last Christmas Mae will be at her favorite place in the world - the snowy Utah cabin where she and her family have spent every holiday since she was born, along with two other beloved families. Mentally melting down as she drives away from the cabin for the final time, Mae throws out what she thinks is a simple plea to the universe: Please. Show me what will make me happy.
The next thing she knows, tires screech and metal collides, everything goes black. But when Mae gasps awake...she’s on an airplane bound for Utah, where she begins the same holiday all over again. With one hilarious disaster after another sending her back to the plane, Mae must figure out how to break free of the strange time loop - and finally get her true love under the mistletoe.
Jam-packed with yuletide cheer, an unforgettable cast of characters, and Christina Lauren’s trademark “downright hilarious” (Helen Hoang, author of The Bride Test) hijinks, this swoon-worthy romantic listen will make you believe in the power of wishes and the magic of the holidays.

Mandrew and Mazey <3
I can’t write enough good things about this book. It was beautiful, captivating, honest and a story of not being afraid to go after what you want. It’s heartwarming, funny, steamy and by the end you’ll be wanting a family just like this book depicts. So many times I could feel like I was there with the characters experiencing what they were and that to me is always a sign of a well written book.
The only problem... is now I want more.

Mae gets a redo from the Universe
This audibook gave me the warm fuzzies because it made me feel good and hopeful that some errors in love aren't fatal for relationships. I wish I had the ability to go back and fix a mistake in the past, and this story just made me smile because it was a ground-hog day romance done right.
Mae Jones’s family spend every Christmas holiday at a remote cabin in Utah with the Holis Family, her parent’s BF. The families practically grew up together and have so much history. Since they were teenagers, Mae had a crush on Andrew Holis, but all the kids were friend so she never acted on her feelings.
On this particular Christmas vacation, Mae made a huge mistake that she fears would hurt Andrew if he found out but the universe granted Mae a reprieve by sending her a few days back. And thus, Mae’s ground hog day/time travel experience begins as she keeps relieving the same day over and over until she learns some cosmic lesson.
I loved the growth in Mae. At the beginning of the story, Mae had just moved back home with her parents as her career was floundering. As a character, she felt adrift but as she kept reliving the same day, she gained confidence and insight. This holiday romance was a slow burner but it was sweet and humorous. The added family dynamics, particularly, the siblings was the best part of the book for me. I love holiday times because of the family and this rom-com definitely gave me the feels.
The writing was so smooth and the story was relatable that I could envision this as both my family as well as a Christmas holiday movie. It won’t surprise me one bit to see this on Hallmark one day. This one was another winner by Christina Lauren.

Do not waste your money
I love chick flicks, and I love Rom-Coms, I'm generally happy with most books. This boom was promoted by the Skimm, so I thought it would be great. It fell flat. The storyline was weird, I did not grow attached to the characters, and the overall plot was bland.
The performer of the book was the only redeeming quality.

light-hearted read with some loose ends
I felt like a lot was left unresolved, particularly with Theo and the time loops! I didn't quite buy the relationship with Andrew or how quickly it developed. I liked the descriptions of the family, the cabin, and some of their traditions. It was nice to listen to but I grew a little annoyed with the plot by the end.

Meh
It was of course predictable from the start. Nothing new or note worthy. I was also a bit overwhelmed at being introduced to twelve characters in the first chapter. One scene having to do with being unable to breathe under a flannel sleeping bag was pretty funny. But basically, not bad enough to ask for a refund, but nothing to recommend, either.

Fun Holiday Read!
A lovely little Hallmark-esque holiday read. It was just the right amount of sweet without being over-the-top corny like some holiday movies/books. If you're looking for a holiday mood lifter- this is the one.

fun love story
starts out a little crazy & jittered, but soon winds down to steady increase of storyline; not sure of ending, knowing it s/b happy & is, but has u holding breath for a few...nice light story, romance. intimate sex, but not detailed or crude good sense of humor.

great book!
Everything you so badly want to have happen for Mae, does! The romance scenes are tasteful and while not super graphic, are enough to paint the pictures for you. The respectful delve into religion was done well without being offensive to anyone, and the ending was like a dream anyone would love to experience. A great book from start to finish!

ok
Leicht fantastische, aber in meinen Augen dennoch nicht richtig magische Geschichte. Sie erreichte mich nicht ganz, wurde aber im Verlauf plastischer. Unterhaltsam, erfreulich, kann man gut zwischendurch hören.
