Sometimes, the Christmas story feels distant, removed from our every-day life. The star, the stable, the wise men, feel like they belong in our childhood, and in church plays, but have no bearing in “real” life. The Christmas season can feel like a pause in the ebb and flow of our life. Every year, the Christmas season ends, the decorations are put away, and we turn our attention to the next thing.
