His introduction to the Palau de la Musica Catalana, the jewel of Barcelona, was by a sparrow-like old woman whose hooded eyes peered up at him and shared the glory of the building. At the moment of his first introduction, the building howled, a cry as painful and divisive as the décor was exquisite. The old woman’s spirits glowed. “You have been welcomed.”
Ignacio’s journey into the world of love, abandonment, and death that surrounds the history of the beautiful building and its project manager can be solved by one destructive action–tearing her heart free.
