I was eager to learn more about my great-grandmother and the location where she was laid to rest. Figured I could get my hands on the guitar she played. Turns out the marker where she was buried had withered away, and nobody knew exactly where she was. The recorded sessions with my mother, Jannie Streetman, took place over several weeks.
The following tale is told with a few fictionalized accounts about my great-grandmother, whose love for children, fishing, and the guitar became the social blueprint for many who perhaps unknowingly followed in her footsteps.
