The heroes and heroines of myth and folklore always have to overcome extraordinary challenges: and more often than not, these challenges involve a giant, a ghost, or a goblin. Jerry Nelson, the voice behind some of the most famous characters in children's television, including Sesame Street's Count von Count, narrates this action-packed collection. His inventive repertoire of growling giants and squeaky goblins will delight young listeners as the drama of the stories sets their imaginations on fire. Young listeners will love meeting characters from China to Norway and beyond, and they'll be full of tales to thrill their friends at school!©1999 John Matthews Collections et anthologies Contes de fées et populaires et mythes Roman et littérature

Commentaires

"An interesting collection - some charming stories, some too gruesome for younger children - all narrated in a down-to-earth country twang by Jerry Nelson. Although his male voices are more realistic than his female ones, he manages to convey, through tone and inflection, that all will end well." ( AudioFile)
