A drifting sailboat. Four bodies. And a cargo that should never have reached Hawaii.
When a ghost ship washes up on the Leeward Coast of O‘ahu, Honolulu homicide detective Kimo Kanapa’aka—on assignment with the FBI—finds himself at the center of a case unlike anything he’s faced before.
The victims are a family. The cargo is far more dangerous.
What begins as a baffling tragedy quickly escalates into a high-stakes investigation with international implications. As Kimo and his partner Ray Donne follow the trail, it leads them far beyond Hawaii—from the islands to Japan to the Pacific Northwest—uncovering a network willing to traffic in materials that could cause unimaginable destruction.
And someone is still out there. Watching. Waiting.
Forced to leave behind his partner, Mike Riccardi, and their infant twins, Kimo must push himself further than ever—into unfamiliar territory, against an enemy operating on a global scale.
Because if they’re too late to stop what’s already in motion…the next disaster won’t be contained.
