Paulie Z was born and raised in a lower working-class family on the Eastside of Detroit. At 19, he was savagely beaten while handcuffed in a violent case of police brutality. The Incident set Paul on a global educational journey that took him to Michigan State University, Pepperdine Law School and the The University of London.
Following law school, Paul dedicated his life as a criminal defense attorney to help those less fortunate and built a reputation as The “Courtroom Fixer”. However, his great success was plagued with personal demons and soon he found himself the target of an FBI corruption scandal which landed him in federal prison.
