The words repeat in Shay’s mind as she struggles to come to terms with the sacrifice. With so many of her loved ones gone, giving their lives for hers, Shay pushes through her grief to figure out what she’s capable of.
When she is presented with the opportunity to bring one person back from the dead, she chooses carefully, not knowing that the result will affect her and everyone around her. Relationships shift and change, relieving the mounting pressures of the heart for some, while others struggle to maintain control. One thing is for certain: Shay is not ready to bond. She still refuses to give her heart to the one man who will be destroyed by their bond when she finally faces her impending death.
