A beautiful story with warm heartfelt characters. The narrator does an excellent job, making me both laugh and cry.

The story rings true at a deep level, and all the characters easily come to life. What I enjoyed most was the quality of the language; the narrator's quirks are endearing and make the whole experience joyful in spite of the dark subject matter.

Moving and funny

The premise of the book (a functional introvert loner) didn't last long. Yet the entire book is well built and the reader does a wonderful job making all of the characters evolve and be loveable. I am not a native English speaker, but appreciated the different accents and tones used by the reader.

Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys a different type of novel that builds and slowly gives you insights into the main character. Fabulous !
