I already read the story in French, but as soon as I heard Frances Sternhagen's voice in the excerpt, I couldn't get myself to buy the French version to listen to, and I don't regret it. She really brings Dolores Claiborne to life!

Everything was perfect. You’d think a book-long monologue would at times feel long, but it’s the opposite. The reader does a great job, and although it seems like a grim story, it’s actually a beautiful one about an unlikely friendship between two very different and strong women supporting each other through their difficult lives. I’m not sure I will find another audio book as good as this one.
