Millions languish in 'the Siv' caught hopelessly in indentured-streaming contracts to the richest influencers of the New Reich while their families watch their bodies wither in the Real.
A fledgling hero, the last Heir-Architect, joins the Siv to find an unexpected inheritance waiting for him and begins a war to rescue all people stuck in mental slavery. Horror takes hold of the simulation when a serial-killer begins recreating crimes from the past, their victims inexplicably dying in the Real — corpses set in a twisted grin that is the killer's grisly calling card.
