Description
Design for Six Sigma (DFSS), or the Six Sigma DMADV process (Define, Measure, Analyze, Design, Verify), is an improvement system used to develop new processes or products at Six Sigma quality levels. It also can be employed if a current process requires more than just incremental improvement. It is executed by Six Sigma Green Belts and Six Sigma Black Belts, and overseen by Six Sigma Master Black Belts.

A quick and powerful crash course
Would you consider the audio edition of Design For Six Sigma (DFSS) to be better than the print version?
I really find subjects like Six Sigma a lot easier to visualize on the audio version. Let's face it, a tough subject but I really learned quite a bit from this one. Sort of a Cliffs Notes version of DFSS.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I like that the author gives real life examples of how corporations have utilized Six Sigma in their processes. It's so much more than just for manufacturing really.

Waste of time
What disappointed you about Design For Six Sigma (DFSS)?
A very long list of topics and phrases in this arena. Totally useless.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Highly disappointed. I wanted to learn more about DFSS and found myself listening to a table of content of some imaginary book about the topic.

good briefing
Great briefing of DFSS vs DMAIC. Reader need some six sigma background. Starting cold can make this confusing.

a list of acronyms and jargon
First, the assumption is that the reader/listener is fully versed in six sigma. Then, the book goes about espousing the virtues of various acronyms, ones that are *slightly* different than the ones you supposedly already know. Explanation, implementation, basically any useful knowledge is completely missing. Why would anyone write this?
A "dictionary" for six sigma/DFSS would be more useful. It would probably be more pleasant to listen to as well. You've been warned.

Mind numbing narration of too many acronyms
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
I can't imagine an audience that would enjoy this piece.
What could Ade Asefeso Mcips Mba have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
His voice is OK, but narration below average. The greatest improvement would be to skip the acronyms where possible.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
Uttering what was written instead of what should be spoken.
Any additional comments?
When I bought the short book, I expected that the author would get to the point.
I see there was some attempt to be concise, but the acronyms were kept instead of ejected during the content compression. So, the flow was something like, "Interesting lead-in to (technical term) ... (pause) ... (acronym for the term) ... (pause) ... interesting second half of sentence mentioning (technical term) ... (pause) ... (acronym for the term) ... (pause) ..." Repeat this ad nauseum and you have this maddening performance. I made it to 10 minutes before think "oh sh*t" and 40 minutes before screaming. I couldn't finish the book.
