Captain William Brighton has been entrusted by his superiors with a revolutionary starship, one destined to change the face of the known universe. With it, no place is too far to explore. Cast adrift with those still loyal to him with no power, no way to navigate, and little food, Brighton must push his team to the limits of endurance in order for them to survive. Hunted by others who also want their technological secrets, Brighton cannot allow them to simply stay put and wait to be rescued. His wounded pride will allow no other outcome than the retaking of his stolen ship, and justice for those responsible for its theft.
In order to bring this to pass, though, Brighton and his crew must do the impossible: set a course for Earth and hold to it with only the stars to steer by.
