Rob Halford is the legendary frontman of Judas Priest, one of the most successful heavy metal bands of all time.

Known as 'The Metal God' by his devoted, global fan base, Rob Halford has always subverted the norm, and Confess will offer readers a compelling and honest look at the struggles he has faced with addiction and his sexuality as well as exploring his music and his many brushes with controversy.

There have been few vocalists in the history of heavy metal whose singing style has been as influential and instantly recognizable as Halford's. Confess, published to coincide with the 50th anniversary of Judas Priest - and described by Halford himself as 'exciting, fun, disturbing and terrifying' - will celebrate five decades of the guts and glory of rock-n-roll.

Rob Halford has written one of the most candid and surprising memoirs of the year. . . Confess is a riproaring tale, a funny, often shocking and genuinely emotional story
The Metal God shares stories from a life like no other, spending over 50 years in the heavy metal bubble, facing adversity head-on but always with a wry smile and horns held firmly aloft
Raw and searingly moving, Confess will delight metal heads and music fans alike
A unique and deeply revealing insight into the extraordinary life he has led
funny, forthright and unexpectedly poignant
Captivating... Even for those who give metal a wide berth, his tale is fascinating
A rock confessional with a difference... deeply, deeply moving... Confess does not always make for easy reading. There is a real sadness to parts of it but Rob Halford's warmth and humanity shine through. Absolutely one of the best rock biogs in ages.
It's a compelling story, well told, and should become a school set text to counter homophobia and promote inclusion
Halford's dry black country wit is the perfect complement to his eye-popping candour
The most hotly anticipated hard-rock autobiography of the year. . . gossipy, good-natured and hilarious. . . it's also gloriously and relentlessly filthy
Rock 'n' roll page-turner. . . riotous and revealing
There are in this memoir the usual triumphs, tragedies and tales of misadventure. . . but the real appeal is in Halford's self-deprecating demeanour and dry, Black Country wit.

In this book, Heavy Metal God, Rob Halford explains his story of how he was at the birth of Metal music and how it was to start life not only becoming heavy metal but also being gay in this world where it was not weclomed.
This is not a book on the history of his bands Judas Priest or Halford Solo, there is certainly information but not to detailled for example, if you want more info on his solo bands you will have to get other recourses, this is His story.

This book is for everyone, not just musicians and it's a great read by a kind man explaining what he had to go thru and how he finally got to be himself.
And for the fans, this is a must hear book, obviously.

Thanks Rob!
