So f%#&ing funny!!!
Such an original, creative story and I learned an awesome new phrase! Really loved the male narrator - the female narrator was good, but occasionally she got a little too whiny. Couldn't put it down. Was worried it would be offensive or insensitive to LGBT - meaning you can make anyone straight - but it wasn't and was hilarious. Would've been way more funny if the author had made some scenes with the gay guys instead of it being told in the past. Also I really wish the author had made Rye kiss Jack - I kinda added that scene in my head myself - and it was FUNNY!

Tangents
Maggie's inner dialog tends to be too long winded. That was annoying!
Also it's taking to long to get to the good stuff..
My other issue with this book is Jack giving out his friends address... who does that?

Such a great idea .... so boring!
This had such potential! The idea behind it could have made this be a laugh out loud love story. But it is NOT. Right from the start they pine for each other and it is just ridiculous. Jeremy York is probably really awesome in serious sad novels, in this.... he just sounded so bored and well sad. No comedic timing.
The gal reading really tried. But she could not bring much as the story fell flat.

Slow and childish
I actually used this book to help me fall asleep...it was that tedious for me. It actually started out well with some mild humor and sweet (though simplistic) relationships. After a while though, it just became a repetition of the same things over and over again. The plot didn't really go anywhere and I knew what was going to happen throughout from the very beginning. This would have been fine if the writing itself had been engaging and humorous enough to keep me interested, but alas, it really wasn't.
I'm not going to give the plot away since the description does that, but I will say that nothing else really happens throughout the book and I only see this being entertaining if you want a very very easy read.
The narrators did a good job. I personally didn't like their style, but there was nothing wrong with it.

Cringe worthy
Couldn't not finish and will return. This is the cringiest/creepiest romance ever. And the male narrator only added to the cringe factor.

So juvenile!
The narrators could only go so far to save this story, but unfortunately they fell short of a win. When I heard the main character spell out hell as "H-E-double hockey sticks", I had to check that I ordered the right audio book. I had thought I was reading contemporary adult romance, not a pre-teen book about a junior high crush. The author was clearly trying to sell the main character as a quirky but cute ingenue. Feel like I wasted a credit.

Romantic story that dragged on way too long
I love comedic romance but the plot was weak and ran on waaaaaaay to long. Boredom set in. It had great potential but got lost in a story line that should have ended 4 hours earlier.

Can you say...ridiculous!
I love romance novels. It's my genre. So, I've come across some unrealistic plotlines before. This however was absolutely ridiculous. My problem is with how long this charade goes on. Its well over a year! No woman is this stupid! This book should have been at least 3 hrs shorter. I kept listening, thinking surely there's more to this story. Nope....just the same thing over and over and over! The saving grace was the decent narration.

Excellent Story Excellent Narration
Another sweet romantic comedy. Even though I have a complaint about this authors writing, I must state the fact that I thoroughly enjoyed this story. For me, the author went a little too heavy on Maggie's inner voice narrative. Yes, it was funny, but the head chatter was over the top. It was the one thing that kept me thinking that this funny story should be a 4 star and not a 5 star rating.
When I got to about 36%, I was thinking Ry's big lie is about to crumble. Then, I began to wonder with so much story left to the book, how is it going to play out. Well, the deception went on and on. Making this the first romantic tale where, for me, the male character was TSTL. At one point I was hoping Jack and Sarah would setup an intervention, because really both these kids were utterly DUMB.
Who would have guessed I would have felt emotional love angst in this romantic comedy. When I got to 88%, silly me, it was like a suspense/thriller where you’re about to find out who’s going to get killed. Geez, I knew it was coming and I still got antsy.
For this story I must mention the audio. The female narrator actually helped me with Maggie's internal head chatter. Her voice presentation made most of it funny. If it hadn't been for the female narrator, there is no doubt this would have been a 4 star read for me. Well, I thought the male narrator was going to be Sebastian York. Nope, it was Jeremy York. And, Mr. York really made Ry sound like one big hunky man.
Best line in a scene..... "I have to figure out a way to solve the fact that I’ve done something I never imagined was possible. I’ve cock blocked myself."
“If it is written, so it shall be!” …. This story had such a wonderful happily ever after it totally deserves a 5 star rating. Excellent Read
