Does God want Christians to be successful?

Why did Jesus come to earth? In John 10:10, Jesus says, “The thief cometh not, but that he may steal, and kill, and destroy: I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.”

God’s norm is abundant living. That was his intention for man. When Adam and Eve sinned, they gave power to the thief who only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. They forfeited their firstborn birthright of inherited abundance. Adam and Eve could not restore the damage they caused when they despised their inheritance. Only God could.

Jesus came to restore our abundant life! He exchanged our damaged inherited state for his abundant one. That’s what he did. So, if you believe in him, then believe in him all the way. Believe that what he did for you is true. And, if you believe that, then you can look around you and ask - does your life look like one that Jesus died for you to have?

If you have confessed that Jesus Christ is your lord and savior, then you have an inherited right to an abundant life.

• Do you believe that God is the source of your financial well-being?
• Is he your funder? Does he want - long - to bless you personally?
• Does he want you to be a success?

We must experience the consequence of his work. We do that by abiding in him.
