Since my childhood I have been intrigued by castles. It started after a family holiday to Scarborough and being taken to see the castle there. Magnificent things, centuries old. How did they build them way back then without the modern machinery and building techniques we have today? They are remarkable feats of architecture, design, building and magnificent in their purpose both military and governance.
Each castle has its own fascinating history and tale to tell. And that's in addition to being wonderful places to visit and explore. So I have written this book - Castles in England - a Travelers' Guide, Volume III to give you a look at another 20 of my personal favorite castles in England.
