Callie McAllister is an Air Force brat who has longed to return to Turkey where she lived as a teenager. When she gets the chance to go back as a photojournalist for the International Travel Bureau she snaps it up. Her assignment includes visiting opulent Ottoman palaces, exploring Roman ruins, and climbing through ancient Crusader castles. Callie's flair for adventure leads her to discover a charming little gold statue lost for centuries at the base of the Castle in the Sea. She believes the statuette may have been given to Cleopatra by her lover Marc Antony as they sailed the Turquoise coast on their honeymoon. Callie feels compelled to protect the priceless relic from a pair of thugs with a grudge to settle, who attempt to steal it before she can get it safely to the Istanbul Archaeology Museum.
Through it all, her heart is torn. Should she gamble on her attraction to the compelling and rugged millionaire owner of the company who wants her to come back, or choose the brave, handsome Air Force captain who wants her to stay?
