Description
Cassidy Clarke wants to find herself. Tasked with scattering her friend Mason’s ashes, she heads to the campground where they met as kids. She expects the grief. She expects the guilt. She expects how absent she feels in her own life. What she doesn’t expect is the broken disrepair of the campground. Or the grouchily broody, yet intriguingly beautiful, cabin manager.
Francesca Sisto wants to lose herself. A deadly tragedy eight months ago has left her battered and guilt-ridden. The job at a rundown, very sparsely populated campground was supposed to keep her away from people. But when a very demanding and infuriatingly attractive guest keeps calling, she has no choice but to be a person and interact. They aren’t looking for love, they’re actively avoiding it. Nobody knows better than Cassidy and Frankie that life doesn’t always give you what you want. But sometimes, if you’re lucky, life gives you exactly what you need.

well-developed characters
this book was a departure of sorts from lesfic in that there were heavy topics included and portrayed very well. The MCs were nuanced as well as the supporting characters. The setting was glorious in the Adirondack Mountains. I would enjoy a sequel including former characters from other Georgia Beers's novels. I mostly appreciated the WOC MC. The performance of Lula Larkin was engaging.

Nah….
I have 1 hour left to finish listening to this story I’m going to make myself finish. Let me start by saying Georgia Beers is one of my favorite authors but I haven’t found anything in this story that grabbed me and held my attention. The narrator is ok but just personally I really dislike the narration she adapted for Frankie. Frankie described as a beautiful woman just should have a much prettier and sexy voice. I wouldn’t use a credit for this story if I had it to do again. The story just did not give me anything to grasp.

Believable +Heartwarming
I don’t usually leave book reviews, but I heard Rachel Spangler say a review was like a hug for an author. So, this is for Georgia Beers! Thank you for such a believable and heartwarming story about Cassidy and Frankie. I found myself crying at times as I listened to their story, cheering them on as they found their way on this journey called life that is way too short.

Good story, meh narration
I wish I had read it. May have would have rated it a star higher.
Included some Hallmark level coincidences. Characters were interesting and loved the supporting characters as well. Easy to fall into the MCs and their story.

Representation matters!!
It was something that was understated, but allow me to overstate it in the review. This story has a black main character that is queer!!! Far too often there isn’t any representation outside of blonde hair and blue eyes, so thank you!! And also thank you for not playing into the old tired “angry black woman” trope. We deserve happiness and representation too!

Best Beers Novel
Georgia Beers continues her recent list of amazing novels with Camp Lost and Found. In my opinion, this is her best work to date. The characters are well developed with each main character having issues they are dealing with. The part I like most is the lack of angst between the characters. They fall for each other and there is no misunderstanding or miscommunication that pulls them apart. Outstanding novel.

terrible narrator
story could be better but the narrator ruined it for me. I'll stay away from Lula Larkin.
