Amos growth
Cora Reilly has done it again. From a budding muscle, revenge-addicted young man in the introduction of Marcy and Maddox's story we met Amo. He went from being Luca’s protoge to a sweetheart who found true love in Greta. Cressida has being a torn in the side since her introduction and their arrange marriage is proof that, not all bonds in the world of the mafia is healthy. I love Amo and Greta together, Gretas twin brother reminds me of the Amo in Maddoxs story. This was a beautiful continuation to aria and lucas legacy as their children find love.

Disappointed
I love this author and her stories. I love her audiobooks, but I could not get on board with the female narrator at all. Her male voice was awful. The male narrator’s version of Luca was too forced stereotypical New Yorker compared to all the other books he’s featured in. He sounded like a different character entirely. I know different narrators sound different, but this was way too far off from the other narrators who have voiced Luca. This book was a miss for me which was really disappointing.

Amazing Story But Read By The Wrong People
Out of all Cora Reilly’s books, this has to be my favourite. It was so thrilling and the characters were so amazing and developed.
I was so disappointed by the narrations!
I mean this is the Italian Mafia but you got someone reading it in an Irish accent!
They all also did a terrible job switching into different characters, sometimes you could even tell the difference on who was who and if you did, it just sounded so weird/wrong.
Overall the story was really good.

Cora, I never want to leave this world.
I absolutely love Cora’s writing. I’ll be honest tho for this series I was starting to feel discouraged. The first two just didn’t hit the mark for me and the third was enjoyable but nothing like her other books. But this. This book has reminded me while I’ll always read anything Cora writes. From the first chapter I was hooked. Amo and Greta were everything I imagined and more! I normally HATE insta love but Cora wrote this so we’ll everything felt perfect and natural. Seeing the Falcone and Vitiello clan fighting, cussing and laughing (sort of) with one another was everything I needed from my two favorite families. My only negative and it has nothing to do with the story, is the narrator for Amo. I did not mind his voice for Amo even tho he made him seem a lot older than 22, but he’s also a made man so it makes sense. But when he voiced any other male character he gave them an old school gangster high pitched voice and Boston accent that made absolutely no sense. I found myself rolling my eyes and laughing when ever he voiced Luca. At one point Matteo sounded like Danny Devito and it just didn’t fit at all. I hope Cora sticks to the male narrators from The Chamorra series because they do her stories justice. 🤍

Need new narrator
The story overall is amazing! When I read it I fell in love with Amo and Greta! When I listened to the story however, I was so disappointed in the male narrators voice. He sound far too old to be a 20 something kid. The way he made the Falcone brothers and Luca’s voice and accent sound was a let down for me. I would 100% love it if they changed narrators. Specifically the voice actor for Amo.

Awful Male Narrator
This was a let down. The male voice for Amo sounds like a cowboy that smokes a pack a day not a male in an Italian mafia. The Italian words don’t sound beautiful because the accent is so off. The female voice I actually enjoy, even when she acts out the male voices.

Narration is awful!
I read this prior to listening. The story is great. I loved it and was really looking forward to the audiobook! Who chose the narrators though!?! Neither fit the characters. It was so disappointing! No way does the male narrator sound like a guy in his early 20’s. And his female voice is just, no. The story is great so read this one and skip the audio!

Narrator narrator!
I’ve bought ever book in this family. One sentence or two from Troy and Thor was not enough. This missed the mark Cora but j I appreciated the bond with the families. Please keep good narrators in the family.
