À propos de ce contenu audio

Meet Ryan Kyd, a former member of the elite Diplomatic Protection Group. In his time, Ryan guarded Royalty, Prime Ministers and faced down terrorists. Now he’s set up on his own as a Private Investigator on the mean streets of South London. Then trouble comes calling in the shape of “DK” Kapoor, a shady businessman.

Ryan is plunged into a world of arranged marriages, scheming relations, kidnapping and murder. It’s a far cry from the P.I. role Ryan had expected, tracing missing persons and recording adulterous liaisons. Now his business is murder.

Roger Hurn has had over 70 books published. In his spare time, Roger plays seven-a-side football and, to the horror of music lovers everywhere, guitar in a rock band.

    Avis de l'équipe

A fast-paced crime thriller that transports the conventions of American noir to the grittier side of modern-day London, with entertaining results. Ryan Kyd is a former bodyguard to royalty turned private investigator, who's drawn into a criminal underworld thanks to a new client. Author Roger Hurn's gravelly, English-accented voice makes for a top-notch narration, and the fast-paced action, sparkling dialogue, and dry wit combine for a highly enjoyable listen with plenty of unexpected twists and turns. Not for the squeamish or those easily offended by language, but recommended for those who love detectives who talk like sailors.
