À propos de ce contenu audio

Are you a Christian who has Autism or a loved one with the disorder? If yes, this book is for you. Lauren Ratcliff was diagnosed with High-functioning Autism at a time when it was poorly understood. She was raised in Church and is a Christian advocate for Autism. Like many others with the condition Lauren faced challenges and she still does to an extent. Her mission is to help others with Autism to lead healthy and productive lives by writing books based on her experience with Autism.

Born to Shine is Lauren Ratcliff’s second book. This is a book for people on the Autism spectrum and their families. It’s also for anyone who wants to learn more about dealing with Autism from a personal perspective. Autism is the fastest growing and most common developmental disorder. The disorder has been known for nearly a century and because the symptoms of the disorder are so varied and no two people with the condition are the same, it's been difficult for researchers to identify a specific cause for the disorder, and treatment is also difficult.

God understands and in Him there is hope for children with Autism and their families. There are very few Christian resources about dealing with Autism and this book is created especially for that. The goal of this book is to help appreciate the benefits of Autism, destigmatize the negative symptoms, and provide hope and encouragement for the disorder. God never intended for anything to be hard on anyone and he wants us to minister to those with special needs and who are difficult to deal with.
