Vince Franklin is a narcissistic, amoral force of nature that has conquered the world’s boardroom and most extreme sports in his drive to find new challenges. With his vast fortune, he undertakes a quest of a lifetime and literally unearths the greatest contestants of them all to play in a game of his own making.
In doing so, he allows ancient, primordial evil to escape—a formidable foe that dashes his carefully laid plans for the most extreme sport of all. Not only does he endanger himself—he has had a group of his peers join him to fund and enjoy the end results of the project. He stops at nothing to achieve his goal—game hunting of the greatest beasts of all time.
Within hours of the game’s onset, despite one pseudo-success, Franklin finds himself fighting for his very survival. He is forced to confront the unthinkable: Has he unleashed forces that are ultimately uncontainable? And what price does he have to pay to make them so? Has he triggered, in his arrogance and greed, the inevitable fall of mankind?
