Someone is stalking the crew of a fishing ship in the small town of Bear Creek, Washington, and killing them — one by one. Only Detective Josh Epstein stands in the way. And it’s complicated. He must work with limited resources while dealing with the emergence of his own ghost-riddled past.
When the crew and owners of the ship remain tight-lipped, he enlists the help of quick-witted D.E.A. agent Paul Ferguson and the enchanting Coast Guard investigator Kimiko Stephens. It doesn’t take long before Epstein finds himself at odds with a Japanese cosmetics company — and a relentless killer.
The three try desperately to find the connection only to know the victims continue to die in a way that seems related to the sea, and Epstein is forced into investigating something he doesn’t quite understand. It takes time. But with the help of Ferguson and Stephens, he realizes the key to solving the case. Is he in time to stop the final slaughter?
