Not worth your time
The plot held promises but never really went anywhere worth your time. The reading was over dramatic, as if it is an Eistedfodd performance by a teen. The jump from characters and times and situations happens too fast and a lot of things get repeated without reason. Least favourite book of 2021 and worst audiobook by far.

Terrible Narrator
Although the twists and plots of the story were great, the narration grated on me from beginning to end. If a friend had not recommended this book to me, I probably would have stopped listening after the first chapter and missed out on a really good mystery.

Narration
I struggled to finish this book....and in the end I did give up. The narration is harsh and grating. If I had read the book myself, I would have enjoyed it far more.

Liane Moriarty at her best!!!
This book was amazing! The twists and turns, the small detail with BIG meanings. I just can't put in words how much I enjoyed every part. I know a lot of people stopped listening because of the narrator. But I absolutely love Caroline Lee, the way her performance pics up on the small nuances of the Australian dialect, gives the story extra flare.
I am devastated that the book is finished.

Fesselnde Familiengeschichte, aber ...
die Sprecherin der englischen Version gefiel mir leider gar nicht! Hätte es im Nachhinein lieber gelesen als gehört. So wirkten viele Charaktere lächerlich und oberflächlich.

Loved it
Right up there between big little lies and what Alice forgot. I absolutely loved this one too and I am obsessed with finding the next LianneMoriarty audiobook to listen to. Really recommend it

One of the best yet
This is definitely one of the best of her so far. I finished the book in 3 days and I don’t really have the time, I just couldn’t stop listening. There is so much in there, subtle, simple and yet so profound. Caroline Lee is perfect as usual. All other novels sound so boring for a while after a novel by Liane Moriarty…

Elternschaft, Geschwisterrivalität und Ehe
Ein spannender Plot, Figuren die echt wirken durch ihre Fehler und ihr Scheitern in Beziehungen, Sport, Beruf und durch Einblicke in ihr Leben von der Kindheit an bis ins Erwachsenenalter. Sie wirken echt auch durch ihre Wiedersprüche indem sie Zweifel haben und trotzdem Liebe füreinander haben, ob als Eheleute oder Geschwister. Es ist ein spannder Krimi der gut erzählt und gesprochen ist.

Langatmig
Die Geschichte hat zwar spannend begonnen aber sich dann sehr in die Länge gezogen.
