Mercy has had the week from hell: She just lost one job, and she's got to perform for an old school friend who only invited her to the wedding as a last minute thought. Then the message comes through that she's leaving for overseas in a few days; how much worse could this week get? Then when she meets Able, she decides to throw caution to the wind and enjoy a short fling.
Able has just found out that his sister is dating a teammate, and then she dropped the bomb about a lot of what has happened in the years between the last time they saw each other and now. So, why not watch one of his friends dogs for a week? It will give him a time to clear his head without constantly being surrounded by his teammates. Then he spots her running; he can't take his eyes off of her. That's just what a hard-headed pit bull needs to break free from his leash and tackle the woman, as if they knew he wasn't going to speak to her without a push.
After a week spent somewhat together, the two go their separate ways. Only to find each other again a few months later and realize that what they had found that week has grown into much more.
