    Description

It came from deep space. It sent the signal. Now our computers are killing us, helping the enemy drive us into extinction.

But some of us refuse to die. We fight back. We learn.

Jon Hawkins revives from cryogenic sleep in a drifting SLN battleship. The crew is dead and the main computer has been destroyed. Jon is a soldier, the start of the resistance, the one man with the will to beat the alien death machines that have terminated 1000 races.

This is our hour as we face the ultimate evil, the galactic destroyer of life.

    A Good Story

The best book that I’ve heard in a while. I guess the idea of an overarching intelligence isn’t entirely original, I mean, you know, the “Borg”. But hey, it’s a big universe. Anyway, excellent plot, unpredictable ending, realistic characters, with realistic problems, a main character who is not narcissistic and who doesn’t constantly reflect on his past glories (I mean, no one want to see your vacation videos) and thankfully, no melodrama.

To many cliches but a good overall story.

Good action all through the book. Never got bogged down in one area as so many do. Hoping book two is the same or better.

    Starts Slow and Builds

Where does A.I. Destroyer rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It is solidly in the top 50%.

What other book might you compare A.I. Destroyer to and why?

It is reminiscent of the Terminator series, though in this instance, the AI is alien in origin.

What about Marc Vietor’s performance did you like?

Marc does not distract from the story and his performance was excellent.

    Any additional comments?

My main comment is that the AI was not all that intelligent, especially for a being that had destroyed multiple civilizations.

    Religious

Hi in general I actually really like the series. My mane problem is with the obvious religiousness of the Author witch pops up everywhere and really takes u out of the story because its really over done all the good humans are Christian all the bad ones non religious all the good aliens have faith all bad ones don't. And some of the characters them being secretly religious completely dosent fit the rest of their persona or the assassin being moved to tears by someone praying for them is completely laughable only a very religious person would believe that at all likely.

Hope this is seen just as constructive criticism do enjoy the series.

    Don't believe the good ratings

This book is so full of cliches and bad dialog that I had trouble getting by the first two chapters. Then you have the a protagonist that is just stupid and the reader is expected to just stick with it and hope that the growth would happen somewhere in the next book or two. Don't expect a space opera here, it is more of a exercise in talking you to death.

Oh I used the word stupid above as that word is used a ton of times in the first two chapters and that is all that stuck with me

    Refreshing and innovative in concept.

The storyline kept me interested throughout as I could not assume what course the plot line would take next. It is refreshing to read a book that you can't predict the next turn in the story line. The main enemy in the story was refreshing an innovative. You actually believe this AI could truly exist and be that evil. You can't help but smile when you read about its demise.

    filled with contradictions and

I didn't like this at all. seemed like every chance that author had he repeated stainless steel rat. I wanted to pull my hair out. the story kept describing how we can't use radio to talk cause the enemy could find us but then they would say they were connected to the ships systems.

    Not worth the time

I enjoy the sci-fi genre, and the AI niche particularly. This was about the midpoint of the genre. Half of them I've read have been better, and the other half I put down without finishing. I managed to finish this one. that's something anyway! I've definitely read better.

Can’t believe this is the same guy who wrote the Lost Star Carrier series

This is painful to listen to, it sounds like something Heppner wrote in high school.

The choice of Mark Vietor as narrator only makes it more painful.

The characters and plot are wafer thin.

    Ok

Meh. The narrator was difficult to listen at times. Story was OK. I was hoping that this world was tied to his other lost star ship books somehow. I was disappointed.

    good military sifi.

good work. a little too pedictable in my opinion. there are no real surpises in the story for people who read a lot of military sifi. (but that is not a Problem if u like that Genre)
