Very nice story, but the male voice actor is not pleasant !! Very flat in my opinion

Not my type of fantasy, but was almost ok until I heard the male voice. Such horrible reading, all the wrong intonations and expressions, just ruins the listening. I’m also sick of having the female character quite stupid. So, check out the male voice before buying book 2, don’t make the same mistake as me

Performance : une belle lecture avec un accent anglais.
Seul l’épilogue est lu par une voix d’homme très grave et essoufflée que j’ai moins appréciée.

Histoire : L’intrigue avance lentement, entre manipulation, chantage, meurtre et trahison on a droit à quelques jolies scènes de smut. Parfois j’ai eu l’impression que l’histoire n’était que prétexte à celles-ci. Ce qui vaut ma note. Mais dans l’ensemble j’ai beaucoup aimé l’évolution des personnages et la relation entre Kat et Bastian. Le décor est planté dans une cour anglaise ressemblant au 19eme s. Avec ses règles et codes et le peu de liberté accordées aux femmes. Kat se débat parmi ces injustices et c’est un aspect que j’ai beaucoup apprécié. Ces raisons font que je vais poursuivre la découverte de cette série.

I didn't think I would enjoy this book so much, but once the first fews introductive chapters out the door I couldn't stop until the end. great story, very mysterious world. I need the next time now
