Samantha Bennett, a career-driven journalist in her early 30s, finds herself in a familiar yet distant place—her childhood hometown of Mapletown. Assigned by her editor to cover the restoration of an old Christmas carousel for the town's Christmas Festival, Samantha reluctantly leaves the bustling streets of New York City for the nostalgic charm of the small town she hasn’t visited in over a decade. Haunted by memories of her late mother and a difficult departure from the place she once called home, Samantha sees the assignment as both a challenge and an opportunity for closure.
Upon arrival, Samantha runs into Henry, a former Marine and long time friend. Together they must fight against a wealthy investors who wants to tear down the cherish Christmas carousel.
