Vina Kent was born in Santa Clara, California to two ethnically different parents, grew up in San Jose, California, and later relocated with her family to Georgia in 1994 after her parents death. Because writing was such a love of Vina's she went back to writing after getting married and starting a family. She began writing short poems all of which she submitted for contests and won awards for from the International Society of Poets. Eventually Vina began writing more non-fiction and took on writing for local papers, magazines and soon started writing features. She has interviewed celebrities for magazines and written on topics ranging from wine, politics and parenting to domestic violence. Vina has written for the Examiner and Yahoo, Coweta Living and several other print and online outlets. It was over all Vina's love for fantasy that led her to writing her most recent book series and she continues to write her series as well as screenplays.
