Trez, a vampire, is dealing with the bone-deep pain of losing his mate, Selena, and Frangione has the listener feeling his grief as well. Therese, another vampire, who works as a waitress in Trez's brother's restaurant, bears a striking resemblance to Selena. Therese has been dreaming of a shadow lover, and she wonders if Trez might be the one. Trez desperately wants to believe that Therese is the reincarnation of Selena, and Frangione aptly expresses his desperation.
