The Hope Island Chronicles

Following the bloody war between the Athenian Republic and the Pruessen Empire, an uneasy peace has settled over the region of space known as The Tunguska Fault. The Telford family's independent trading vessel, the Belinda, is captured by Pruessen slavers and the crew forced into a life of brutal servitude. Their desperate bid for freedom succeeds but a tragic price is paid.

Nathan is assigned to the Monitor Insolent as she escorts a freighter into the northern reaches of league space. Their destination, the distant world of Cimmeria. While the Cimmerians are striving to find their own identity under the yoke of a corrupt regime, far from their world the Pruessen Navy have made their own plans for Cimmeria.

On a covert mission north of the frontier, Lieutenant Commander Nathan Telford finds every escape route to freedom blocked by a massive Pruessen armada. With a seemingly endless number of enemy resources marshaled against him, he must employ all of his skills if he is ever to see his home again. 

Tragedy strikes Nathan Telford, and once again, he must set a course into Pruessen-controlled space on a desperate rescue mission. In a light freighter, he stands little chance of fighting his way out of trouble, but his obsession pushes him ever closer to his goal. His nemesis, Saxon, is aware of his presence and is waiting for him. With deliberate intent, he has set an elegant trap for Nathan to walk into.
